Enchanted is a webmail written in python, using Django.

It uses an IMAP proxy (Twisted, xmlrpc) to keep active IMAP connections alive, so there is no need to continuously connect to the IMAP server for each user's request.

Enchanted uses AJAX when possible (for example for lists' pagination), but JavaScript is not required so you have the same features without it.

The main target is to create a good webmail that doesn't create a new IMAP connection for each user's request, with a catchy look and a clear code.

Well, Enchanted2.0 is heavily under development.
For now is an incomplete project by I'm working hard on it, so it's improved every day.
